Abstract

Dr Kaushik Bhaumik initially trained as a doctor at Medical College, Calcutta, but left to study French and History at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, before receiving his D.Phil from Oxford University. This is the concluding part of his essay arguing for the need for the Humanities to be included in medical education. The first part of the essay was be published in the previous edition of the journal.
